Asia Pacific Ceramic exports porcelain and ceramic tiles, and an exporter's website has a harder job than a domestic one: the buyer may be in Warsaw, Riyadh, Moscow or Milan, and expects to read about the product in their own language before they will start a conversation.
One site running in seven languages, designed and developed as a single system rather than seven copies. English, Arabic, Polish, French, Russian, Spanish and Italian each have their own full set of pages, with the collections, the e-catalogue and the packing details available in every one.
Around the tiles sit the things an importer actually asks for: packing details for container planning, a downloadable e-catalogue, a coverage calculator, and collections organised by finish so a specifier can work the way they think.
Arabic is not a translation, it is a rebuild. The entire layout mirrors: navigation, product grids, tables and the direction the eye travels. Getting that right in the same codebase as the six left-to-right languages was the hardest part of this project, and it is the part a visitor should never notice.
