Amore Surfaces makes porcelain tiles that imitate natural materials, and the promise is that they feel natural. That is a difficult thing to prove on a screen, where every surface is the same flat pane of glass.
A site designed and developed to give the material room. Collections such as Grezzo and Marble are presented at a scale where the texture is legible, rather than as thumbnails in a grid, and each product page holds the detail a buyer needs alongside the image.
Export and download sections serve the trade side, keeping catalogues and technical documents where a distributor expects to find them.
Image cropping does most of the work on a site like this. Showing less of a tile, larger, communicates a surface far better than showing all of it small, and the templates are built to enforce that rather than leave it to whoever uploads next.
